The “Cité des Énergies” brings together in one place the BIAM flagship building, the CEA’s Regional Technology Transfer Platform and the future “En’Durance Energie” entrepreneurial zone, open to the establishment of industrial companies wishing to collaborate in the development of R&D projects on new energies.
Finally, it is through the creation of the “Cité des Énergies” that the construction of BIAM’s new building, equipped with the latest technologies, has been financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the State-Regional Plan Contract (CPER) 2014-2020. A surface of 7,500 m2 houses laboratories, offices, conference rooms and social areas.
The « Cité des Énergies » is part of an ambitious CEA project aimed at promoting the reindustrialization of the country through the transfer of technology to the industrial sector. It is a place where new bioprocesses are developed in the field of 3rd generation biofuels, photovoltaic energy and soil and effluent remediation.
