During practical sessions, several techniques allowing ion measurements will be presented, using plant samples as an example (ICP-MS/OES; electrophysiology; biosensors; microscopy). As an introduction, a short theoretical presentation of ion transport in cells will provide the background knowledge for the practical sessions.
