"My name is Subhankar Sutradhar. I am currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher, focusing on biomass valorization through the development of transition-metal catalysts that mimic the activity of lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases (LPMOs). My research encompasses homogeneous catalysis, spectroscopic analysis, and reaction mechanism elucidation to develop sustainable catalytic processes for converting renewable biomass into value-added chemicals. In collaboration with IFPEN (IFP Énergies nouvelles), Lyon, I also work on replicating enzymatic oxidation processes for renewable feedstock conversion, with an emphasis on catalyst scale-up, large-scale production, and catalytic activity evaluation.
Prior to this, I completed my PhD research in the field of bioinspired homogeneous catalysis, where I gained over six years of experience investigating multinuclear transition-metal complexes for chemical and electrochemical water oxidation, oxygen reduction and substrate oxidation reactions. My doctoral research focused on the synthesis of multinuclear metal complexes, their spectroscopic and electrochemical characterization, and mechanistic studies aimed at understanding catalytic reactivity and developing efficient bioinspired catalytic systems."
