The crystallisation service offers the robotic infrastructure for screening hundreds of conditions with small quantities of biological material and ensures the follow-up of the experiments carried out. This service is equipped with a nano-volume crystallisation robot allowing the first screening steps and optimisation steps to be carried out, and two automatic visualization and storage robots. A second robot allows the filling of wells from commercial kits and the creation of optimisation grids. The quality of the crystals obtained and the cryo-freezing conditions are tested on a complete X-ray diffraction equipment. The acquisition of a data set is also possible. Note: The most important factor is the quality and purity of your biological material. We strongly encourage you to check the quality of your protein sample before any crystallization experiment.
Robot Mosquito (TTP Labtech) Robot Evo150 (Tecan) Two Rock Imager (Formulatrix) thermostatically controlled at 20°C and 8°C, equipped with a UV module and CRIMS software Microfocus X-ray generator (Bruker AXS MICROSTAR) equipped with Osmic mirrors and 2 Mar345 detectors.
The service is open to Academics and Industrialists, without geographical distinction. To apply for access, complete the form and specifying “Marseille” for the item “High throughput crystallization”.
