The CIRM-CF is a BRC dedicated to filamentous fungi of agro-industrial interest. Like all BRCs, the CIRM-CF is dedicated to :

  • To manage and valorise its collections by making them accessible to the national and international scientific community (academic or industrial) and to the sectors concerned.
  • Provide tools for exploring biodiversity for research and innovation,
  • Develop new identification, typing and characterization tools.
  • To offer services.

The CIRM-CF collections provide strains of filamentous fungi (mainly Basidiomycetes and Ascomycetes) from unique temperate, tropical biotopes or from polluted agro-industrial sites. Aiming for a high quality standard, the CIRM-CF has been ISO 9001 certified since 2006 for the acquisition, authentication, conservation, dissemination and functional screening of fungal resources. In addition to strain diffusion, the CIRM-CF also offers its clients (academic or industrial) various services, in particular fungal collection and strain isolation, strain deposition in collections (open or closed), generation of monocaryotic lines, production and characterization of enzymatic secretomes, functional screening and molecular analyses (genotyping, identification, search for fungi in different matrices).
