Iman Chouikha

My name is Iman Chouikha, I am a postdoctoral fellow in Romé Voulhoux's team. I am working on a project funded by the ANR NANOMIR « microRNAs as nanomedicines to modulate ICAM-1 in Chronic Lung Diseases ». The objective of my work in this project is to study the antimicrobial role of miRIC, an eucaryotic miRNA, against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The use of human microRNAs as antibacterial agents against this bacteria represents an innovative therapeutic strategy that complements conventional antibiotics.
