Alexis Reinbold

"Je m’appelle Alexis Reinbold. Je viens de Clermont Ferrand (France) où j’ai effectué une licence de Chimie. Après un master en Chimie Alternative – Concepts Innovants et Nouvelles Pratiques en Chimie Fine, j’ai commencé ma thèse au sein de l’équipe BiosCiences à Marseille au campus St Jerome. Je m’intéresse aux peptides antimicrobiens (PAM) dans le cadre de la résistance aux antibiotiques qui devient un risque mondial pour la santé. Je travaillerai donc sur le développement de nouveaux PAM et réaliserai les différents tests biologiques pour évaluer leur efficacité sous la direction d’Olga Iranzo et Marc Maresca.

My name is Alexis Reinbold. I come from Clermont Ferrand (France) where I did a bachelor in Chemistry. After a master's degree in Alternative Chemistry – Innovative Concepts and New Practices in Fine Chemistry, I started my thesis within the BiosCiences team in Marseille at the St Jerome campus. I am interested in antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) in the context of antibiotic resistance which is becoming a global health risk. I will therefore work on the development of new AMPs and will carry out the various biological tests to evaluate their effectiveness under the direction of Olga Iranzo and Marc Maresca.
