My name is Angela Gehrckens and I started working as a postdoc on proteins involved in the copper tolerance of bacteria. I did my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in biochemistry in Goettingen and Heidelberg (Germany), respectively. Afterwards, I moved to the UK where I did my PhD at the University of Oxford, working on conformational changes of proteins involved in the ability of birds to sense the Earth’s magnetic field lines, before moving for my postdoc to Marseille.
