Description:
No previous programming experience assumed the course provides an introduction to computer programming for biologists. The students will learn basic concepts such as data types, string processing, functions, loops, input/output, etc., while writing code applied to biological problems.
At the end of the training, the PhD student will be able to write scripts to run software packages and parse output, and analyze and plot data.
Prerequisites
Bring a computer and follow the set-up instructions which will be provided in advance. No previous programming experience expected.
