The Microscopy platform of IMM is a service open to the scientific community with two components: Optical Microscopy (OM) and Electron Microscopy (EM). The biological systems analyzed are mainly bacteria, viruses, giant viruses, amoebae, microalgae, but also macromolecules. The methods used are SIM (Structured Illumination Microscopy) super-resolution microscopy, fluorescence microscopy, confocal microscopy, transmission electron microscopy (at room temperature or cryo) and scanning electron microscopy. One of our projects is the development of cryoEM microscopy. The platform is a member of the National Technological Networks (RCCM, SFµ, RTM-FM), participates in local and national training courses and applies a quality approach based on the ISO 9001 standard. The platform is managed by two types of access levels proposed to the users: the use of the equipment with the assistance of the personnel or the disposal of the equipment after training.
