Conference “Scientific controversies & fake-news” – 2 July 2021

The Institut de Microbiologie, Bioénergies & Biotechnologie (IM2B), the Institut de Microbiologie de la Méditerranée (IMM) and the Ph.D. program ” Académie d’Excellence – A*Midex” Plinius Cursus invite you to the conference of Dr Yann Vacher which will be held at 11:30 am on July 2, 2021 on the Joseph Aiguier campus as well as in videoconference Zoom. It will deal with a very topical subject: scientific controversies and false information or fake news. The issues at stake and the mechanisms that allow them to spread will be illustrated by means of concrete examples that have been or are being debated in the media.

Yann Vacher is a trainer and researcher at the Université de Corse Pasquale Paoli. He works on the issues of adult education and the dissemination of knowledge. Author in 2015 of the books ” Building a reflective practice – Construire une pratique réflexive” and in 2018 ” Diversifying teaching practices – Diversifier ses pratiques d’enseignement”, he is an expert in educational sciences for the “Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie”. He is also co-founder of the series “Diffusons la science pas le virus” and of the “Revue de l’analyse de pratiques professionnelles”.
